The 2023 edition of the Nike Air Max 1 Premium ‘Shima Shima’ brings back a design motif originally showcased in the ‘Shima Shima’ pack from 2003. Varying shades of grey are applied to the leather upper, accented with contrasting hits of brown on the signature Swoosh and nubuck mudguard. Vertical stripes decorate the interior textile lining, while Japanese Hiragana characters spell out ‘Shima Shima’ on the woven tongue tag and sockliner. Lightweight cushioning arrives via a wedge-shaped foam midsole with a visible Air-sole unit in the heel.
